Mahogany Jaquise Jackson of Jasper, Walker County, Alabama, United States as died. She was 20.
Jackson was 5’3″ tall. She weighed 122 pounds.
On February 25, 2024, Jackson went missing. She was wearing a blonde wig, a black shirt and blue jeans the last time she was seen alive.
At 7:46 a.m. that day, Jackson sent a text message to a family member about being held hostage and shared her location, which is Serenity Apartment Homes in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. When her family members and Birmingham Police Department officers went there, they were told by a woman that Jackson left at 2:00 a.m. that day.
At 2:19 a.m. on February 26, 2024, officers responded to a call about a body found at 17th Street Southwest and Laurel Avenue in Birmingham. It was Jackson and she had a gunshot wound.
Seven people were arrested in connection to Jackson’s murder and booked into the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham without bond. Here is the list:
- Blair Green, 25, was charged with felony murder, kidnapping and sodomy.
- Brandon Pope, 24, was charged with capital murder during kidnapping and sodomy.
- Francis Harris, 25, was charged with capital murder during kidnapping and sodomy.
- Giovonnie Clapp, 23, was charged with felony murder, kidnapping, sodomy and assault.
- Jeremiah McDowell, 18, was charged with capital murder during kidnapping and sodomy.
- Si’Nya McCall, 23, was charged with felony murder, sodomy and kidnapping.
- Teja Lewis, 26, was charged with felony murder, assault and injury with a weapon.
