Born in Mount Desert Island, Maine, Gray received legal emancipation from her family when she was 16. She graduated from high school and joined the Army National Guard at age 17.
Gray was a petroleum supply specialist with the Maine Army National Guard when she was crowned Miss Maine USA 2018 on November 26, 2017. She turned 29 on November 30, 2023.
Miss Maine USA 2024
The Miss Maine USA 2024 coronation night will be held at the Sheraton Sable Oaks in South Portland, Maine on March 10, 2024. It is the 73rd edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects Maine’s official candidate for Miss USA, which selects the official Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.
On November 20, 2022, Juliana Morehouse of Casco Bay was crowned Miss Maine USA 2023 at the Sheraton Sable Oaks in South Portland. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Lauren Headley of Van Buren, Natalie Swift of Bradley, Mara Carpenter of Penobscot County and Vanesa Pelletier of Fort Kent.

Janet Trafton Mills is the first female criminal prosecutor of Maine. She was born in Farmington, Maine to Sumner Peter Mills Jr. and Katherine Louise Coffin Mills.
From December 4, 2002 to January 6, 2009, Janet was a member of the Maine House of Representatives. She was Maine’s attorney general from January 6, 2009 to January 6, 2011 and from January 7, 2013 to January 2, 2019.
On January 2, 2019, Janet assumed office as the 75th governor of Maine. On December 30, 2023, she turned 76.
