The police department of Meriden, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States recently conducted an operation in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New Haven State’s Attorney’s Office. The goal of the operation was to take enforcement against people seeking sexual activity with children.
As part of the operation, Meriden Police Department officers and FBI agents arrested John Magaldi, 61, Francisco Carrero, 51, and Wilson Suarez, 28. Whether or not they are residents of Meriden has yet to be confirmed.
On March 22, 2024, Magaldi, Carrero and Suarez will appear in court in Meriden. Both of Carrero and Suarez’s bonds were set at $250,000.
Bond for Magaldi was set at $350,000. He was charged with interfering with police, criminal attempt at risk of injury, criminal attempt at commercial sexual abuse of a minor, criminal attempt at second-degree sexual assault and sexual contact victim under 16.
Carrero was charged with possession of narcotics, criminal attempt at risk of injury, criminal attempt at commercial sexual abuse of a minor, criminal attempt at second-degree sexual assault and sexual contact victim under 16. Suarez was charged with criminal attempt or commercial sexual abuse of a minor, criminal attempt at risk of injury, criminal attempt at second-degree sexual assault and sexual contact victim under 16.
