John J. Adams of Dunedin, Pinellas County, Florida, United States registered to vote in Pinellas County on July 2, 2020. He is affiliated with the Independent Party of Florida.
On December 18, 2023, Adams turned 61. In February 2024, he communicated with someone he thought was an adult who had access to a child and expressed his desire to pay to perform sex acts on the child.
Unbeknownst to Adams, he was actually communicating with an undercover detective. During their online communication, the Dunedin man said he was a gentleman and respectful and that he wanted to “enjoy this experience” with the child.
It was part of Operation Child Protector V, a sting conducted by detectives in Florida. The detectives obtained a warrant for Adams’ arrest.
Adams is still at large. He was charged with use of computer to solicit guardian and use of two-way communication device to commit a felony.
