Thomas Keaton, 31, of Dover, Delaware, United States owns the Legends Elite gym in Dover. Between February 2023 and March 2023, he allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a girl, then 17.
The girl was a Legends Elite gym employee and athlete. In February 2024, the Dover Police Department was contacted about her relationship with Keaton.
On March 11, 2024, the department obtained warrants for Keaton’s arrested. That day, he turned himself into authorities.
Keaton was arrested and booked into the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, Delaware. He was charged with sexual solicitation of a child under 18 years old, second-degree unlawful sexual contact, three counts of fourth-degree rape and five counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust.
Bail for Keaton was set at $121,000. Currently, he is listed on the USA Gymnastics web site as suspended from all contact.
Before moving to Dover, Keaton lived in different parts of New Mexico, USA including Albuquerque, Farmington and Las Cruces. He attended Piedra Vista High School in Farmington, New Mexico and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
