Christopher Lee Behal, 30, of Park View, Scott County, Iowa, United States has been arrested. He was booked into the Scott County Jail in Davenport, Scott County at 2:10 p.m. on March 14, 2024.
Earlier that day, Behal allegedly drove a car that crashed at 90th Street and Harrison Street in Mount Joy, Scott County near the entrance to Davenport Municipal Airport, which serves Davenport, Scott County. He was injured and taken to Genesis Health System‘s eastern campus in Davenport.
While investigating the crash, Scott County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a woman dead in Park View. They have yet to release information about her identity and how she died.
After being cleared at the hospital, Beal was arrested by the deputies. Prior to his arrest, he was living with his girlfriend.
Behal is accused of committing domestic assault against his girlfriend. He was charged with first-degree murder.
