Rafael Paredes Panameno, 22, of Alabaster, Shelby County, Alabama, United States has been arrested. He allegedly started an inappropriate relationship with a girl from Georgia, USA on social media.
The girl later went missing. Recently, detectives received information about her whereabouts.
When Alabaster Police Department officers found the girl in Alabaster, she was with with Panameno. He was arrested and booked into the Shelby County Jail in Columbiana, Shelby County.
Bond for Panameno was set at $167,000. She was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, unlawful possession of a pistol, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, second-degree rape and two counts of second-degree rape.
Alabaster was established on February 23, 1953. The city has six schools namely Creek View Elementary School, Meadow View Elementary School, Thompson Intermediate School, Thompson Middle School, Thompson High School and Evangel Christian School.
Scott Brakefield, 48, is the incumbent mayor of Alabaster. He and his wife grew up in the city.
