Hiral Patel, 41, Alec A. Caples, 27, and Ivan Perez, 20, are residents of South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County, California, United States. They all recently went to Nevada, USA.
On March 29, 2024, an undercover operation targeting human trafficking in Douglas County, Nevada led to the arrest of five men including Patel, Caples and Perez. It was conducted by members of the investigations division of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Douglas County Street Enforcement Team and the human exploitation and trafficking team of the police department of Reno, Washoe County, Nevada.
Bail for Caples was set at $185,015. He was charged with attempted second-degree kidnapping, attempted child abuse, attempt to use a minor in sexual portrayal, attempted statutory sexual seduction and attempted luring of a child under 16.
Bail for Patel was set at $1,880. He was charged with engaging and solicitation of prostitution and resisting arrest.
Perez’s bail was set at $640. He was charged with engaging and solicitation of prostitution.
