“The Cannibal” Charlie Campbell, 28, of East Rockaway, Nassau County, Long Island, New York, United States was one of the “UFC Fight Night 240” winners. It marked his second victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Featuring 12 mixed martial arts bouts, “UFC Fight Night 240” was held at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Las Vegas Valley, Clark County, Nevada, USA on April 6, 2024. In the eighth bout of the evening, Campbell fought Trevor Peek, 29, of Pisgah, Alabama, USA in the lightweight division.
Keith Peterson served as the referee of the lightweight contest. After three five-minute rounds, he raised the hand of Campbell, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Beating Peek improved Campbell’s professional MMA record to 9 wins and 2 losses. Coincidentally, the loss downgraded Peek’s professional MMA record to 9 wins and 2 losses.
When Peek made his UFC debut at “UFC Fight Night 220”, he knocked out by Erick Gonzalez. After losing to Jose Mariscal via unanimous decision at “UFC on ABC 5” on June 24, 2023, Peek defeated Mohammad Yahya via unanimous decision at “UFC 294” on October 21, 2023.
Campbell made his professional MMA debut on May 31, 2019. Before joining the UFC, he competed in Ring of Combat, Bellator MMA and Cage Fury Fighting Championships.
On September 16, 2023, Campbell made his UFC debut at “UFC Fight Night 227” at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Clark County. He defeated Alex Reyes via technical knockout via punches.
