Miss Universe is one of the six grand slam international beauty pageants for women. The others are Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International.
Currently, Croatia has four Miss Universe placements. Representing the European country in the international beauty pageant, Sarah Ćosić finished in the Top 15 in 2009, Elizabeta Burg and Shanaelle Petty finished in the Top 16 in 2012 and 2017, respectively, and Mia Rkman finished in the Top 20 in 2019.
Miss Universe Croatia 2023
Andrea Erjavec of Perušić, Croatia was second runner-up to Miss Universe Croatia 2020 Mirna Naiia Marić. On May 3, 2023, the former competed against 15 other Miss Universe Croatia 2023 candidates at the Emerald Hall of the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb and won the title.
Runner-up to Erjavec was Lucciana Ćebo. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Sara Garac, Mihaela Posavec and Polina Mytko.
On November 19, 2023, Erjavec represented Croatia at Miss Universe 2023 and competed against 83 other candidates at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador. She was unplaced while Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua won the title.
Miss Universe Croatia 2024
The Miss Universe Croatia 2024 coronation ceremony will be held at the Emerald Hall of the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb, Croatia on May 6, 2024. It is the 28th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Croatia’s Miss Universe candidate.
