Brendan Foster, 28, of Winnemucca, Humboldt County, Nevada, United States has been arrested. He is accused of using Snapchat to initiate contact and meet with girls under the age of 16.

Foster allegedly engaged in sexual activities with the girls and used Snapchat to threaten them if they reported him. On April 2, 2024, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received information about the Winnemucca man’s alleged crimes.

At around 12:15 p.m. on April 6, 2024, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office deputies initiated a traffic stop on Foster in reference to the investigation against him for the alleged crimes. He stopped before fleeing from deputies into the desert, which initiated a vehicle pursuit.

The Winnemucca man abandoned his car in a ravine and fled on foot. He was found and arrested in West Wendover, Elko County, Nevada.

Bail for Foster was set at $260,000. He was booked into the Humboldt County Detention Center and charged with sexual assault against a child under 16, lewdness with a child under 16 by a person over 18 and eluding.

Moreover, Foster was charged with grand larceny of a firearm. He is accused of stealing a handgun from a family member.
