Jamaal Wade, 26, of Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States is a cruise ship dancer. From 2018 to 2019, he was a dancer for Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
A Mustard Lane profile published on February 7, 2020 indicated that Wade was “in rehearsals for the National Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at the time. On February 18, 2020, he was arrested in Detroit, Michigan, USA after being accused of molesting a boy, then 11.
Whether or not Wade was convicted in Michigan is unclear. Years later, he allegedly sent child sexual abuse material depicting victims as young as 2 to a male individual using the messaging app Telegram.
According to the Telegram user, he and Wade viewed child sexual abuse material together at the apartment of the latter. In October 2023, federal agents seized the phone of the Telegram user and started investigating Wade.
An undercover Federal Bureau of Investigation agent started chatting with Wade. He sent the agent multiple videos of boys as young as 4 being raped or sexually abused.
On March 22, 2024, Wade told the undercover FBI agent in a chat that he had brought his collection of child sexual abuse material “on board the ship”. On April 7, 2024, U.S. Marshals arrested him in Broward County, Florida, USA.
Wade was booked into the Paul Rein Detention Facility in Pompano Beach, Broward County. He was charged with possession of child pornography and receipt and distribution of child pornography.
