Jessica G. Sawicki, 37, of Point Pleasant, Ocean County, New Jersey, United States taught English at Hamilton High School West in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. It is one of the three secondary schools of the Hamilton Township School District.
Why was Jessica Sawicki arrested?
Sawicki graduated from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, Monmouth County, New Jersey. While employed as a Hamilton High School West teacher, she allegedly had a sexual relationship with a student.
According to Monmouth County prosecutor Raymond Santiago, Sawicki and the student allegedly had sex at the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area in Allentown, Monmouth County on several occasions. The area includes mixed hardwood forests, farm fields, hedgerows, wetlands and man-made and natural lakes.
On April 9, 2024, Santiago announced Sawicki’s arrest. She was booked into the the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold Township, Monmouth County.
After Sawicki’s arrest, the Hamilton Township School District placed her on administrative leave. Her name and profiled had been removed from the Hamilton High School West’s website.
On April 12, 2024, Sawicki will attend a detention hearing in Monmouth County Superior Court in Freehold Township. She was charged with five counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and five counts of second-degree sexual assault.
Aside from Point Pleasant, Sawicki has lived in other parts of New Jersey including Spring Lake, Wall Township, Avon by the Sea and Neptune. She has lived in different parts of Florida, USA including Palm City and Delray Beach.
