Amogh Upadhya, 19, of Dublin, California, United States is a sophomore student at San Jose State University in San Jose, California. He attended Dublin High School in Dublin from August 2018 to June 2022.
In August 2022, Upadhya entered SJSU to pursue a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology. In September 2023, he obtained his certification as an Amazon Web Services cloud practitioner.
Amogh Upadhya arrested
Upadhya allegedly set fires in the men’s bathroom at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library on the 7th and 8th floors of SJSU on Marc 31, 2024 and on April 8, 2024. He was spotted by library security.
On April 10, 2024, the SJSU Police Department announced Upadhya’s arrest. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail in San Jose and charged with four counts of arson.
Bail for Upadhya was set at $400,000. On April 12, 2024, he will appear in court.
