The Miss Universe Persia 2024 coronation ceremony will be held in Rome, Italy on June 17, 2024. The winner will represent Iran at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico in September 2024.
This will be the first time Iran is represented in Miss Universe. Also known as Persia, the West Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations.
Miss Universe Persia 2024 is open to Persian women from all over the world. The list of candidates has yet to be announced.
Iran’s Miss Universe debut was officially announced on March 20, 2024. According to the Miss Universe Persia 2024 team, the country’s participation was approved after seven attempts.
Golshan Bakhtiary is the national director and president of Miss Universe Persia. Also in her team are vice presidents Zeyad Hassan and Afshin Sajedi, executive producer Cloudio Iali, international communications director Valeria Murari, cultural promotion director Salma Eltoukhy, marketing director Alok Jha, photos and videos director Aras P, press office director Olga Matsyna and music and talent director Raay Nick.
From 2016 to 2023, Bakhtiary attended the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Rome where she studied pharmacy. She served as a Miss Universe Italy technical judge in 2019 and in 2020.
