Shervey Serrano Torno, 25, of Navotas City, Metro Manila, Philippines is in jail. He is accused of attempting to sexually assault Tricia Anne Dominguez Florendo, 23, a singer, a television host and a beauty queen professionally known as Cianne Dominguez.
Navotas is around 22 kilometers away from Quezon City, Metro Manila. The latter, dubbed the City of Stars, is home to several Filipino celebrities.

Originally from Taytay, Rizal, Philippines, Dominguez lives in a condominium in Quezon City while working as a regular host of the variety show “It’s Showtime”. Her father John Florendo is a bodybuilder and her mother Marilyn Dominguez Florendo is a fitness instructor.
On April 6, 2024, “It’s Showtime” made its debut on GMA Network. Cianne’s sister Chole Florendo also appears on the show as a dancer.
On the evening of April 11, 2024, Cianne was waiting for an elevator at her apartment building in Quezon City when she saw Torno seated at the lobby area. They did not know each other and he was reportedly visiting someone living in the building.
Both Cianne and Torno entered the elevator. She was going to her unit on the eighth floor while he was going to the 11th floor.
On the eighth floor, Torno followed Cianne. Upon entering her unit, she noticed that he was standing outside her door.
After Cianne slightly opened her door, Torno allegedly approached her, asked her Facebook account, told her she was beautiful, touched her waist and asked for a kiss. She pushed him away then used her cellphone to film him while he was running away.
With the help of the security guard at the lobby, Torno was arrested and booked into the city jail in Kamuning, Quezon City. Cianne filed a criminal complaint against him.
Torno was charged with unjust vexation. Cianne has yet to issue a statement about the crime.
