18 Miss Republica Dominicana 2024 candidates competing in Sto. Domingo

Currently, the Dominican Republic has 12 Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Amelia Vega in 2003. The most recent one was in 2022 when Andreina Martinez was the second runner-up.

The Miss Republica Dominicana 2024 coronation ceremony will be held at Sambil Santo Domingo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on May 5, 2024. It is the 72nd edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Dominican Republic’s Miss Universe, Miss International and Reina Hispanoamericana candidates.

There are 18 women competing for the three crowns at stake at Miss Republica Dominicana 2024. Here are the candidates:

On September 3, 2023, Mariana Downing was crowned Miss Republica Dominicana 2023 at Salón de Eventos Sambil in Santo Domingo along with Miss International Dominican Republic 2023 Yamilex Hernández and Reina Hispanoamericana Republica Dominicana 2023 Melissa Domínguez. The respective first and second runners-up were Eoanna Constanza and Chantal Sílliman.

On October 26, 2023, Hernandez represented the Dominican Republic at Miss International 2023 and competed against 69 other candidates at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. She finished in the Top 15.

On November 18, 2023, Downing represented the Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2023 and competed against 83 other candidates at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador. She was unplaced.

On January 28, 2024, Dominguez represented the Dominican Republic at Reina Hispanoamericana 2023 and competed against 26 other candidates at Salón Sirionó of Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. She finished in the Top 13.
