Marc Goddard served as the referee. He stopped the fight after 4 minutes and 59 seconds in the fifth round.
Holloway knocked out Gaethje via punch. This improved the Hawaiian athlete’s professional MMA record to 26 wins and 7 losses.
On the other hand, Gaethje now has 25 wins and 5 losses. He won the BMF belt when he knocked out Dustin Poirier via head kick at “UFC 291” in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA on July 29, 2023.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Waianae, Holloway is of Native Hawaiian and Samoan descent. He and his former girlfriend Kaimana Pa’aluhi have a son named Rush Holloway.
In 2007, Max started training kickboxing. In 2010, he graduated from Waianae High School in Waianae.
Max made his professional MMA debut on September 11, 2010 and his UFC debut on February 4, 2012. On December 10, 2016, Max became the interim UFC Featherweight Champion.
From June 3, 2017 to December 14, 2019, Max was the UFC Featherweight Champion. Before “UFC 300”, he defeated Arnold Allen via unanimous decision at “UFC on ESPN 44” on April 15, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA and knocked out Jung Chan-sung at “UFC Fight Night 225” on August 26, 2023 in Kallang, Singapore.
