Jessica Harris, 35, of Memphis, Tennessee, United States has been arrested. She is accused of killing Cristian Manuel Ramos Gonzalez of Verona, Lee County, Mississippi, USA.
Who is Cristian Ramos?
Ramos was a mechanic for Carlock Crysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram of Tupelo. He was born in Denver, Colorado, USA to Ruben Ramos Flores and Claudia Gonzalez Pachacan.
Before moving to Verona, Cristian lived in Vardaman, Calhoun County, Mississippi. He was married to Jacqueline Ramos Gonzalez.
Cristian has two brothers namely Orlando Jesus Ramos Gonzalez and Patrick Francisco Ramos Gonzalez. They have two sisters namely Jessica Guadalupe Ramos Gonzalez and Tiffany Ramos Gonzalez.
On February 22, 2023, Cristian turned 22. At around 9:00 p.m. on July 8, 2023, he was found fatally shot at an apartment in Verona.
Where was Jessica Harris arrested?
Whether or not Cristian and Harris knew each other is unclear. After his death, she went on the lam.
Warrants for Harris’s arrest were issued out of Lee County Circuit Court. She was charged with first-degree murder and shooting into a dwelling.
The Verona Police Department requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service in the federal agency’s office in Oxford, Lafayette County, Mississippi.
When the investigation led to an address in Memphis, the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals was requested to assist. At around 12:00 p.m. on April 16, 2024, the task force found Harris at a residence on Oberle Avenue in Memphis.
Harris was arrested without incident. She is awaiting extradition to Mississippi.
