Riley Strain of Springfield, Greene County, Missouri, United States has died. He was 22.
Strain is Michelle Strain Whiteid and Ryan Gilbert‘s son. Michelle is married to Chris Whiteid.
How did Riley Strain die?
After graduating from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Strain entered the University of Missouri in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri to pursue a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and business. He was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity in the university and supposed to graduate in May 2024.
On March 8, 2024, Strain and his Delta Chi fraternity brother were in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, USA for a fraternity formal trip. In the evening, they went to Luke’s 32 Bridge Bar at 301 Broadway in Nashville.
At 10:00 p.m., Strain was kicked out of the bar owned by country singer Luke Bryan, 47. The latter was not there that night.
At 1:46 p.m. on March 9, 2024, one of Strain’s friends called police to file a missing person’s report.
On March 22, 2024, Strain’s body was found in the Cumberland River in Nashville. His wallet, pants and boots were missing.
There were no cuts and bruises on Strain’s body. He is believed to have fallen from an inclined terrain.
An autopsy was conducted by the medical examiner who found no water Strain’s lungs. His toxicology results are not yet complete.
