Arshawn Thomas, 18, of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States was arrested again. On June 3, 2023, he was reported missing from Cleveland.
Arshawn Thomas’s alleged crimes
On July 14, 2023, Theodore Broadus, 18, of Cleveland was in a car with Thomas and two other men in Clark-Fulton, Cleveland. While inside the car, Broadus was fatally shot allegedly by Thomas.
At around 7:45 a.m. on March 21, 2024, Thomas and Anthony Oliver, 19, of Cleveland allegedly stole an Audi from a residence on Cobblestone Way in Westlake, Cuyahoga County. At around 10:00 a.m., both teenagers were arrested outside a supermarket in Cleveland where they hit a Westlake Police Department cruiser while trying to escape.
Thomas and Oliver were each charged with carrying a concealed weapon, receiving stolen property and assault on a police officer. How and when the former was released is unclear.
On April 16, 2024, a warrant was issued for Thomas’s arrest in relation to the murder of Broadus. That day, Thomas was located at a residence in Cleveland.
Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Thomas without incident. He was charged with murder.
