Lonnie K. Everill, 44, of Water Valley, Yalobusha County, Mississippi, United States was recently arrested. He was charged with distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
Everill worked for the U.S. Department of Justice as a federal probation officer. Based in Washington, D.C., USA, the department contains most of the federal law enforcement agencies of the U.S. including the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Aside from Water Valley, Everill has lived in other parts of Mississippi including Oxford, Lafayette County. He previously lived in Ogden, Utah, USA, in different parts of South Carolina, USA including Georgetown, Hanahan, Moncks Corner and North Charleston and in different parts of California, USA including Alpine, Chula Vista and San Diego.
In February 2009, Everill and Angela Jolynn Everill bought a property in Chula Vista. On February 26, 2010, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey T. Miller gave a notice to the U.S. Probation Office and to Lonnie, then a probation officer, that a U.S. district court in California intended to sentence Lawrence Doss to time served with a term of supervised release of three years on March 12, 2010.
In May 2013, Lonnie and Angela sold their property in Chula Vista to two individuals. On July 17, 2013, he prepared a pre-sentence report as to Stuart Steinfeld, the defendant in a lawsuit in California.
On January 5, 2015, Brian K. Tomlinson filed a prisoner complaint for violation of civil rights in California against Lonnie, James Lorenz, Kenneth O. Young, Laura E. Duffy, Linda Thomas and Lynette M. Williams. On January 20, 2015, Magistrate Judge Allison Claire gave Tomlinson 30 days to submit an affidavit in support of the plaintiff’s request to proceed in forma pauperis on the form provided by the clerk of the court of the appropriate filing fee and on April 16, 2015, the judge recommended that the action be dismissed without prejudice.
On October 2, 2017, Lonnie and Angela sold a property in Alpine to one individual. On October 5, 2017, he prepared a pre-sentence report as to Jennifer Louise Perez-Lopez, the defendant in a lawsuit in California.
In May 2023, Lonnie turned 44. In July 2023, he and Angela transferred a property in Oxford to two individuals.
On March 25, 2024, the FBI gave Lonnie’s name to its office in Oxford and filed a criminal complaint after obtaining 573 media files with 38 files of suspected child pornography from him. Some of the files involved children as young as toddlers.
On April 12, 2024, the complaint was presented to U.S. District Chief Judge Debra Brown. On April 16, 2024, the case was reassigned to Judge Daniel P. Jordan.
On April 26, 2024, Lonnie will attend a detention hearing before Jordan. The judge will either set a bond or order the Water Valley man held without bond.
