Just before 2:00 p.m., the device was removed from the airport. In the evening, Federal Bureau of Investigation agents arrested him at his home in Lansford. He was charged with possession of an explosive in an airport and possessing or attempting to place or attempting to have placed an explosive or incendiary device on an aircraft.
  9. On March 2, 2023, a federal judge ruled that he remain in custody pending trial.

  11. On November 27, 2023, a federal judge in Pennsylvania ordered jury selection in his case to begin on February 9, 2024 and his trial to begin on February 12, 2024.
  12. On January 17, 2024, he agreed to plead guilty to attempting to place an explosive device on an airplane and possession of an explosive device inside an airport.
  13. On May 7, 2024, he will be sentenced.
