Gerald Talman Brann, 43, of Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana, United States was sentenced to 30 years in federal court in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, USA on May 7, 2024. He was ordered to pay restitution of $100,000 along with $10,000 under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act of 2018.
Who is Gerald Brann?
Between December 25, 2022 and January 4, 2023, Brann allegedly shared images depicting a child aged 10 in an online instant messaging service. The images were sexual in nature.
The child was depicted by the images at various ages, beginning around the age of 5 or 6. The images depicted the child in various stages of undress and were sexual in nature.
On January 4, 2023, a search warrant was executed at the residence of Brann and Veronica Solis, then 33, in Valparaiso. Her four children, then 13, 11, 9 and 7, were removed from the residence and placed into foster care.
Brann and Solis previously lived in San Antonio. They allegedly took the inappropriate videos there.
On March 14, 2023, Solis was arrested in Valparaiso and Brann was arrested at a truck stop in New Jersey, USA. On November 28, 2023, he pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of children.
On December 5, 2023, Solis pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of children. On July 16, 2024, she will be sentenced.
