South Dakota, United States currently has three Miss Teen USA placements. Representing the state, Valerie Marsden was fourth runner-up in 1986, Lisa Williamson finished in the Top 10 in 1989 and Makenzie Falcon finished in the Top 15 in 2016.
On June 11, 2023, Lindsey Pfingston of Black Hills was crowned Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2023 at the Watertown Events Center in Watertown, South Dakota. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Bella Puetz of Sioux Falls, Stefonna Salomon of Bennett County, Madison Bradberry of Onida and Haylee Jankord of Lead.

The Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2024 coronation night will take place at the Watertown Events Center on May 12, 2024. It is the 42nd edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects South Dakota’s Miss Teen USA candidate.
