Rachael Cierra Levy, 25, and Demarie Jessalyn Nichole Spontis, 23, were recently arrested. They are both residents of Florence, Florence County, South Carolina, United States.

Rachael Levy, Demarie Spontis’s alleged crimes

With the aid of Levy, Spontis allegedly falsely threatened a beauty school in Florence with the use of a bomb. The school focuses on the nail industry.

On May 13, 2024, Florence County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the facility regarding a bomb threat called in over a telephone. An explosive-detecting K9 was deployed.

The threat was a hoax, the deputies determined. Later that day, Spontis was arrested and booked into the Florence County Detention Center in Florence.

On May 14, 2024, a judge set at $10,000 bond for Pontis was released. Hours later, she posted bail and was released.

On May 15, 2025, Levy was arrested and charged with making a bomb threat. She is being held at the Florence County Detention Center on a $10,000.00 surety bond.

Pontis and Levy were each charged with making a bomb threat. The investigation is still ongoing.
