Adrian Hong Chang, 38, is a citizen of Mexico and a lawful permanent resident of the United States. He is of Korean decent.

Hong is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service. The agency is offering a $10,000 reward for information that will lead to his arrest.

Who is Adrian Hong Chang?

Hong was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. His father Joseph Hong was a Christian missionary and taekwondo champion.

In 1991, Adrian and his family moved to Chula Vista, California, USA. He spent most of his life in the U.S.

In 2009, Adrian was appointed as an Alfred Wolfers Fellow at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He co-founded Liberty in North Korea (LiNK), an international nongovernmental organization devoted to human rights in North Korea.

On February 22, 2019, Adrian was involved in the attack of North Korea’s embassy in Madrid, Spain. Armed with knives, iron bars, machetes and imitation handguns, he and six others allegedly restrained and beat embassy staffers there, held them for hours and took several electronic devices.

From Madrid, Adrian and his group fled to the U.S. where he met with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and turned over the devices they took from North Korea’s embassy in Madrid. His whereabouts have been unknown since then.

Adrian is 6’1″ tall and he weighs around 220 pounds. He is also known as Mathew Chao and Oswaldo Trump.
