Nafiysh Knox-Schenck, 32, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States was driving a car when he was stopped on West Collum Street in Philadelphia by Philadelphia Police Department officers at around 10:00 a.m. on May 13, 2024. They found a gun on him when he was brought out of the car.

The officers immediately handcuffed Knox-Schenck and put him in the back of a patrol car. They found that he also had a warrant out for a different gun case.

Knox-Schenck escaped after another individual, whose identity has yet to be revealed, opened the back of the police car. The officers tried to pursue the arrestee but failed to capture him.

Who is Nafiysh Knox-Schenck?

On August 23, 2011, Knox-Schenck appeared in the Philadelphia Municipal Court. On March 19, 2021, he appeared before Judge Mark Moore in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia.

On December 2, 2021, Knox-Schenck appeared in court before Judge Joseph Scott. The former was represented by Robert Patrick Link.

On July 17, 2023, Knox-Schenck appeared in court before Judge Joseph O’Keefe. Still represented by Link, Knox-Schenck appeared in court before Judge J. Bryant-Powell on October 23, 2023.

At around 7:00 a.m. on May 15, 2024, members of the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service conducted surveillance on a condominium complex in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia. At 12:30 p.m., they knocked and announced their presence on a unit on the sixth floor.

The U.S. Marshals entered the unit. Shortly after, Knox-Schenck surrendered to them.
