Caden Osborne, 19, of Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana, United States is a student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. He is currently in jail.

During an interview with police officers, Osborne said he started to search out child pornography around 2020 or 2021. According to him, he told himself to stop but his body would not let him.
Osborne told the officers that he had never touched a child inappropriately in real life. He said there were countless websites and new ways to view child pornography.
On January 15, 2024, the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip about multiple videos of child pornography uploaded to a cell phone in Plainfield. The device was linked to Osborne using its phone number.
More than 10 videos of child pornography were uploaded to Osborne’s phone. The children involved in the videos were below the age of 10.
On May 14, 2024, the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Osborne’s residence in Plainfield. His electronic devices, including his cell phone in his pocket, were seized.
Osborne was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography. His initial hearing is on July8, 2024 and his jury trial is on August 20, 2024.
