Sophie Burzynski represented of the Auburn-Opelika Metropolitan Area of Alabama, United States at Miss Alabama USA 2023 on January 28, 2023 at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama where she competed against 37 other candidates. She won the title.

Runner-up to Burzynski was Noelia Voigt of Greystone. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Diane Westhoven of Southern Plains, Margaret Anne McNeill of River Region and Randee Hinson-McCrary of Huntsville.

Miss Alabama USA 2024

On June 1, 2024, Burzynski will crown her successor at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center at Auburn University. It is the 69th edition of the beauty pageant that selects Alabama’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.

Alabama currently has 31 Miss USA placements including the coronation of Sylvia Hitchcock. She won Miss USA and Miss Universe in 1967.

A total of 34 women are competing for the Miss Alabama USA 2024 title. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates:

Sophie Burzynski

In 2019, Burzynski graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. From 2019 to 2023, she attended Auburn University where she earned bachelor’s degrees in nutrition and business administration.

On February 1, 2020, Burzynski competed at Miss Kentucky Teen USA 2020 and finished in the Top 16. She was unplaced when she competed against 45 other Miss Kentucky USA 2021 candidates on May 22, 2021 at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky.

On September 29, 2023, Burzynski represented Alabama at Miss USA 2023 and competed against 50 other candidates at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, USA. She finished in the Top 20.
