Who is Tuen Kit Lee?

Lee is 5’9″ tall and is of Chinese descent. His family owned Kagawa, a restaurant in Quincy, Massachusetts, United States.

In 2005, Lee was allegedly broke into the residence of a young woman in Quincy while she slept. She was working at Kagawa as a waitress.

While wearing a mask as a disguise, Lee allegedly zip-tied the woman to her bed, and assaulted her at knifepoint. She recognized his foul breath from the restaurant where she worked.

While out on $100,000 bail, Lee fled from his trial in Massachusetts in September 2007. That month, a jury in the state convicted him in absentia of four counts of rape and kidnapping.

On August 9, 2023, the Massachusetts State Police offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information that would lead to Lee’s arrest. On October 10, 2023, he turned 55.

On May 28, 2024, officers with the police department of Danville, California, USA pulled over Lee’s vehicle. Also in the vehicle was a woman he was with or 15 years in California.

Initially, Lee provided a fake name. He confessed after authorities pressed him about his true identity.

Lee was arrested in Diablo, California by the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) of the U.S. Marshals Service, particularly near the intersection of Hill Roard and Diablo Road, which is near Green Valley Elementary School. He was held by the Danville Police Department and will be extradited to Massachusetts.

PSWRFTF was helped by the Marshals Service Massachusetts Fugitive Task Force, the Massachusetts State Police and the Quincy Police Department. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, PSWRFTF began operations in April 2002.
