Brian Jones, 28, of Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, United States and James Chaney, 26, of Plainville, Hartford County have been arrested.
On August 14, 2023, Jones was allegedly involved in a shooting incident at Granby and Tower Avenue in Hartford. One person was fatally shot.
On May 4, 2024, Chaney was allegedly involved in a shooting in the 90 block of Hendricxsen Avenue in Hartford. Two men were shot and transported to Hartford Hospital on Seymour Street in Hartford where they died.
On May 29, 2024, the Violent Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Hartford Police Department arrested both Jones and Chaney. They were both transported to the Hartford Police Department.
Jones was found at a residence on Charlotte Street in Hartford. He was charged with murder and criminal possession of a firearm.
The Plainville Police Department helped arrest Chaney on Spring Street in Plainville. He was charged with murder and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Bond for Jones was set at $800,000. Bond for Chaney was set at $1 million.
