Portugal currently has four placements in Miss Universe. It is one of the six grand slam international beauty pageants for women along with Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International.

Miss Universe Portugal 2024 predictions

On June 15, 2024, the Miss & Mrs. Portugal 2024 coronation ceremony will be held at Cine-Teatro Avenida in Castelo Branco, Portugal. The winner will be crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2024.

A total of 25 women are competing for the title. I believe these five candidates will make it to the top:

On September 12, 2011, Laura Gonçalves represented Portugal at Miss Universe 2011, competed against 88 other candidates in São Paulo, Brazil and finished in the Top 10. On December 8, 2019, Sylvia Silva represented Portugal at Miss Universe 2019, competed against 89 other candidates in Atlanta, Georgia, United States and finished in the Top 20.

On January 14, 2023, Telma Madeira represented Portugal at Miss Universe 2022, competed against 82 other candidates in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA and finished in the Top 16. On November 18, 2023, Marina Machete Reis represented Portugal at Miss Universe 2023, competed against 83 other candidates in San Salvador, El Salvador and finished in the Top 20.

Machete is from Palmela, Setubal, Lisbon, Portugal. She is the first transwoman to represent the country in Miss Universe and the first transwoman to place in Miss Universe.

On October 5, 2023, Machete represented Palmela at Miss Universe Portugal 2023 and competed against 16 other candidates at Borba Events Pavilion in Borba, Portugal. She won the title.

Runner-up to Machete was Diana Lopes of Guimarães. Elisabete Abreu of Câmara de Lobos was the second runner-up.
