Operation We Will Find You 2

Operation We Will Find You 2 aimed to highlight partnerships among government and non-government agencies in the U.S. This is to develop a multi-disciplinary team focused on pulling together resources to find critically missing children and bringing more attention to the epidemic of missing children in the country.

Through the operation, 123 missing children were recovered and removed from dangerous situations. The U.S. Marshals found 77 more missing children to be in safe locations.

Of the 200 missing children recovered, 57 percent were recovered within seven days of the U.S. Marshals assisting with the case. The youngest child recovered was only 5 months old.

A total of 173 of the children found were endangered runaways. One was a family abduction, one was a non-family abduction and 25 were considered otherwise missing.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) participated in the operation through technical assistance. The center’s president and chief executive officer Michelle DeLaune described the operation as “a shining example of the results we can achieve when we unite in our mission to find missing children”.
