Bèatrice Eliane Apuaghue Njoya, a resident of Saint Paul’s, Malta, was born and raised in Cameroon. Her mother is of Egyptian and Ethiopian descent.

On August 1, 2023, Njoya turned 39. On July 11, 2024, she represented St. Paul’s at Miss Universe Malta 2024 and competed against 24 other candidates at The Hilton Malta Conference Centre in St. Julian’s, Malta.

Njoya won the title, making her the oldest woman and the first woman born in Africa to win it. She was crowned by Ella Portelli of St. Julian’s.

On June 30, 2023, Portelli represented St. Julian’s at Miss Universe Malta 2023 and competed against 24 other candidates at The Hilton Malta Conference Centre in St. Julian’s. She won the title.
