Fiji has yet to place in Miss Universe. The Oceanian country was represented in the international beauty pageant by Miss Fiji titleholders Tanya Whiteside in 1979 and Lynn Michelle McDonald in 1981 both under the directorship of the Hibiscus Festival of Fiji.
In 2024, Miss Universe Fiji was launched. Paris Jade is the national director.

The Miss Universe Fiji 2024 coronation ceremony will be held at The Pearl Resort in Pacific Harbour, Fiji on August 30, 2024. It is the inaugural edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Fiji’s Miss Universe candidate.
