Currently, Iceland has six Miss Universe placement including the first runner-up finish of Anna Geirsdóttir in 1962. The most recent one was in 2019 when Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir finished in the Top 10.

Iceland also has five Miss Supranational placements including the third runner-up finish of Tanja Ýr Ástþórsdóttir in 2015. The most recent one was on July 6, 2024 when Helena O’Connor finished in the Top 25.

The Ungfru Island 2024 coronation ceremony will be held at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik, Iceland on August 14, 2024. It is the 51st edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Iceland’s Miss Universe and Miss Supranational candidates.
