Serena Lee of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia competed against five other Miss Universe Malaysia 2023 candidates in a private event at MOV Hotel in Jalan Berangan, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur on August 27, 2023. She won the title.
Runner-up to Lee was Caroline Green of Mukah, Sarawak, Malaysia. The second runner-up was Temara Nelia Inigo of Kuala Selangor, Selangor, Malaysia.
Miss Universe Malaysia 2024
On September 6, 2024, Lee will crown her successor at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Autograph Collection in Kuala Lumpur. It is the 57th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Malaysia’s Miss Universe candidate.
Malaysia currently has one Miss Universe placement. The country has been competing in the international beauty pageant since 1964.

On July 11, 1970, Josephine Lena Wong Jaw Leng represented Malaysia at Miss Universe 1970 and competed against 62 other candidates at the Miami Beach Auditorium in Miami Beach, Florida, United States. She finished in the Top 15.
In 2020, Eleen Yong founded a modeling agency called Elpis Models Management. On June 21, 2024, she became the new Miss Universe Malaysia national director.
Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Lee earned her law degree from the University of Leeds in Leeds, England, United Kingdom. She was unplaced when she represented Malaysia at Miss Universe 2023 on November 18, 2023 at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador where she competed against 83 other candidates.
