Currently, Singapore has three Miss Universe placements. Representing the Southeast Asian country, Kathie Lee Lee Beng finished in the Top 12 in 1983, Marion Nicole Teo finished in the Top 10 in 1987 and Nandita Banna finished in the Top 16 in 2021.
Singapore was represented in Miss Universe by the winner of Miss Singapore in 1954, 1958, 1962 and from 1966 to 1979 and Miss Singapore Universe from 1980 to 2011. In 2012, the inaugural Miss Universe Singapore was held and in 2020, no competition was held due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and Bernadette Belle Ong was appointed as the titleholder.
On September 16, 2023, Priyanka Annuncia was crowned Miss Universe Singaproe 2023 at the Amber Lounge of Millenia Tower at the Marina Centre in Downtown Core, Singapore. Nikita Carter was first runner-up.
Miss Universe Singapore 2024
The Miss Universe Singapore 2024 coronation ceremony will be held at Amber Lounge at The Clifford Pier at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore on Collyer Quay in Downtown Core, Singapore on September 22, 2024. It is the 12th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Singapore’s Miss Universe candidate and its first edition under Miss Universe Malaysia 2003 Elaine Daly as the national director.
There are 15 women competing for the Miss Universe Singapore 2024 crown. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates:
