Sola is accused of sexually abusing a child in Nantucket, Massachusetts, USA, the southeasternmost town in both Massachusetts and the New England region. The region comprises six U.S. states namely Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
On August 13, 2024, a grand jury in Nantucket indicted Sola on three counts of aggravated rape of child and eight counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. On August 14, 2024, he was arraigned by the Nantucket Superior Court.
Bail for Sola was set at $5,000 cash, $50,000 surety. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges filed against him.
Aside from wearing a global positioning system monitoring device, Sola was required to stay at least 100 yards away from the alleged victim and the alleged victim’s family. He was also prohibited from having contact with the alleged victim and her family.
After violating the pretrial conditions, Sola Sola was brought back into court on August 23, 2024. His bail status was not changed.
On September 10, 2024, Sola was arrested in Nantucket by officers from officers from the field office of the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Boston, Massachusetts. He remains in ERO custody.
