Romania has yet to place in Miss Universe. The country was represented in the international beauty pageant by Miss Romania from 1991 to 1998 and by Miss Universe Romania from 2009 to 2013, in 2016, in 2017 and from 2019 to 2021.

On August 28, 2021, Carmina Coftas of Cluj-Napoca was crowned Miss Universe Romania 2021 at the Face Club Bucharest in Bucharest, Romania. She was not able to crown her successor from 2022 to 2023.

Miss Universe Romania 2024

The Miss Universe Romania 2024 coronation ceremony will be held at KONG in Bucharest on September 25, 2024. It is the 11th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Romania’s Miss Universe candidate.
