Joanne Josephine Rhodes attended Maryknoll Convent School in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, China and the University of Hong Kong in Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong. From June 2020 to August 2020, she studied diamond essentials, watchmaking and jewelry making at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California, United States.
In 2022, Rhodes entered the University College London in London, England, United Kingdom. From August 2023 to May 2024, she was a gallerist at Whitestone Gallery in Hong Kong.
On September 26, 2024, Rhodes won the inaugural edition of Miss Universe Kong at AXA Dreamland in Sai Sha, Hong Kong. She was crowned by Anne Heung, who served as one of the judges.
