Cedric Joseph Howell, 39, of Trenton, Tennessee, United States is accused of rape and incest. He has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS).
Where was Cedric Howell arrested?
Since 2021, the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) of the USMS has been instrumental in capturing more than 2,600 violent fugitives and sexual predators. The task force is operating in the western part of Tennessee.
On September 12, 2024, warrants were issued for the arrest of Howell. He was charged with rape and incest.
The Trenton Police Department requested assistance from the TRVFTF in Jackson, Tennessee to locate and apprehend Howell. He was hiding in Michigan, USA while authorities were looking for him.
The TRVFTF developed information that Howell had fled to the Detroit, Michigan area. On September 20, 2024, TRVFTF deputy marshals tracked him to a store in Pontiac, Michigan.
Howell was taken into custody on the parking lot of the store. He will be held at a detention facility and will be extradited back to Tennessee.
