Aleishka Marie Martinez-Rios, 27, of Puerto Rico, United States has been arrested. She was wanted on charges of illegal deprivation of custody and parental kidnapping.
Puerto Rico is a self-governing Caribbean archipelago and island organized as an unincorporated territory of the U.S. It is located about 1,000 miles (1,600 km) southeast of Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA.

Martinez-Rios is 4’11” tall. Her registered weight is 120 pounds.
A missing minor alert was triggered after Martinez-Rios allegedly took her child with the father’s consent. The mother allegedly traveled from Puerto Rico to Florida with her child.
On February 5, 2024, Martinez-Rios turned 27. On August 23, 2024, the Arecibo District Court in Puerto Rico issued a warrant for her arrest.
The U.S. Marshals Service, the Puerto Rico Department of Justice and the Florida Department of Children and Families made coordination to ensure that custody of the abducted child would be granted to the father. The Puerto Rico Department of Justice and the Puerto Rico Police Bureau and the Puerto Rico Department of Justice requested assistance from the US Marshals’ District of Puerto Rico to locate and arrest Martinez-Rios.
On October 1, 2024, the USMS’s Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force (PRVOTF) located Martinez-Rios and requested the assistance of the USMS’s Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF) office in Orlando, Orange County, Florida to arrest her and recover the child. On October 2, 2024, she was arrested without incident in Kissimmee, Osceola County, Florida by the FCRFTF and members of the Middle District of Florida in collaboration with the PRVOTF.
The Florida Department of Children and Families took custody of Martinez-Rios’s child. The mother was booked into the Osceola County Jail in Kissimmee.
