Drake Lee Maye is an American football quarterback born in Huntersville, North Carolina, United States to Mark Maye and Aimee Maye. Drake currently plays for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.
Both Mark and Aimee attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. From 1983 to 1988, he played football at the university.
After spending one year at William A. Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina, Maye transferred to Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina where he played basketball and football. His older brothers Luke Maye, Cole Maye and Beau Maye also played football.
