On November 3, 2020, Joe Biden won the U.S. presidential election, defeating Donald Trump. On January 6, 2021, Trump’s supporters breached the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. while a joint session of the U.S. Congress was certifying the vote of the Electoral College and affirming Biden’s victory.

  1. He was born in Florida to Benjamin Clark “Ben” Pollock Sr. and Tina Pollock.
  2. His paternal grandparents are Thomas James “Tom” Pollock Sr. and Nelly Daly Pollock‘s son.
  3. His grandfather Tom was a U.S. Army veteran and a lifetime member of the Baptist church in Kathleen, Polk County.
  4. He has family and friends not only in Florida but also in other U.S. states including Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and South Carolina.
  5. He has three brothers namely Benjamin Pollock Jr., Gabriel Pollock, Thomas Pollock and James Michael Monroe Pollock

  7. He is 5’10” tall and weighs around 160 pounds.
  8. He is 8 years younger than his sister Olivia.
  9. He is 3 years younger than his friend Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III
  10. On February 25, 2007, his grandfather Tom died at age 75.
  11. His family owns Rapture Guns & Knives, a gun store that opened in Lakeland in 2012. 
  12. On January 9, 2017, after burglars stole dozens of firearms from the store, his father told ABC Action News, “There’s nothing like a live body with a firearm. We will be here 24/7 and somebody will be hurt if they come back.”
  13. On September 21, 2021, his uncle Thomas James “Tommy” Pollock Jr. died at age 62.

2020

  • The U.S. presidential election on November 3, 2020 marked the first time he voted.

2021

  • On January 6, 2021, he, Olivia and Hutchinson entered the U.S. Capitol building. Wearing a ballistic vest, knee pads and gloves with plastic knuckle, he was caught on video punching police officers during the riot.
  • On January 10, 2021, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released a Be on the Lookout (BOLO) photo of him.
  • In April 2021, he, Olivia and Hutchinson were indicted. He was charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers or employees; aiding and abetting; theft of government property; restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on U.S. Capitol grounds.
  • On June 25, 2021, the FBI issued a warrant for his arrest.

2022

  • In March 2022, the FBI announced a $15,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
  • On September 9, 2022, the FBI’s reward for information leading to his arrest was increased to $30,000.

2024

  • On January 6, 2024, he, Olivia and Hutchinson were arrested at a ranch in Groveland, Lakeland County, Florida. He was charged with 17 counts including civil disorder; an act of physical violence in the U.S. Capitol grounds or buildings; theft of government property; assaulting, resisting or impeding police officers using a dangerous weapon; and entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon.
  • On August 18, 2024, his assigned defender Carmen Hernandez filed two motions asking U.S. District Judge Carl J. Nichols to dismiss 10 of the 17 charges filed against him.
  • He, Olivia and Hutchinson were scheduled to face a trial in Washington, D.C. on October 15, 2024 but on October 4, 2024, Nichols ordered a trial reset.

2025

  • On January 27, 2025, he, Olivia and Hutchinson will face a trial.
  • On February 21, 2025, he will turn 26.
