Antonio Jacques Pewitte, 37, of Humboldt, Tennessee, United States was arrested again. He is also known as Shade.

Pewitte has a history of domestic violence. He and his former girlfriend have one child together.

In September 2023, Pewitte was arrested by the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office for violating registration law and driving on a revoked or suspended license. On October 19, 2024, he allegedly laid in wait outside his former girlfriend’s place of employment in Bells, Crockett County, Tennessee.

As the woman entered the building, she was approached from behind and stabbed one time in the forearm and four times in the face allegedly by Pewitte. He was seen driving a white Chevrolet Tahoe.

After obtaining a search warrant, the Bells Police Department tried to find Pewitte. He was not in his residence but the white Chevrolet Tahoe that eyewitnesses saw him driving was on the property.

Blood stains were found on the interior of the vehicle, which was seized by the Bells Police Department. The Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee was requested to locate and apprehend Pewitte.

On the morning of October 29, 2024, the U.S. Marshals developed information that he was in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. With the help of the Memphis Police Department and the Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team, the U.S. Marshals found out that Pewitte was in Memphis.

The Humboldt man was arrested and transported to the Bells Police Department. He was charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated domestic assault.
