Jensie Grigsby
From 1987 to 1991, Jensie Grigsby attended Alleman High School in Rock Island, Rock Island County, Illinois, United States. From 1991 to 1995, she attended Drake University in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
On February 4, 2000, Grigsby represented Iowa at Miss USA 2000 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Grand Palace in Branson, Missouri, USA. She finished in the Top 10.
Grigsby and Michael P. Shannon have two children together namely Brooke Shannon and Micah Shannon. On May 22, 2017, Michael filed for a petition for dissolution of marriage in Cook County, Illinois.
In December 2018, Grigsby joined AbbVie in North Chicago, Lake County, Illinois as a marketing operations project manager. In August 2024, she turned 51.
