The United States held its 60th quadrennial presidential election on November 5, 2024. The leading candidates are Donald Trump, 78, of the Republic Party and Kamala Harris, 60, of the Democratic Party.
Also competing for the position were Joel M. Skousen, 78, of the Constitution Party, Mattie Preston, 75, of Godliness, Truth, Justice Party, Rachele Fruit, 75, of the Socialist Workers Party, Blake Huber, 74, of the Approval Voting Party, Jill Stein, 74, of the Green Party, Cornel West, 71, of the Unity Party of Colorado, Michael Wood, 66, of the Prohibition Party, Randall Terry, 65, of the Constitution Party, Peter Sonski, 62, of the American Solidarity Party, Laura Ebke, 62, of the Liberty Party, William P. Stodden, 48, of the Socialist Party, Joseph Kishore, 44, of the Socialist Equality Party, Claudia de la Cruz, 42, of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Chase Oliver, 39, of the Libertarian Party and independent candidates Richard Duncan, 71, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 70, Vermin Supreme, 63, Shiva Ayyadurai, 60, Jay J. Bowman, 57, Robert Wells Jr., 56, Christopher Garrity, 35, and Ryan Clayton, 35. A candidate needs at least 270 of the 538 electoral votes to win.
Isaac Sissel
Isaac Sissel, 25, is had driver’s licenses from the U.S. states of Washington and New York. He is currently staying in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USA.
As a transient individual with no known home address, Sissel has hidden out on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor and slept near a rehab clinic. Months before the 60th U.S. quadrennial presidential election, he used ShootUpTrumpRally as his Reddit user name.
On September 23, 2024, Reddit voluntarily reported the account. An investigation found out that he was using the internet at the University of Michigan to post to the social network platform.
On November 2, 2024, the National Threat Operations Center of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in West Virginia, USA received an anonymous online threatening submission. The threat was from Sissel.
“I shall carry out an attack against conservative christan, filth in the event trump wins the election,” Sissel wrote.”I have a stolen ar15 and a target I refuse to name so I can continue to get away with my plans. Without a specific victim or ability to find the place I hid the gun, there’s not a thing the FBI can do until I complete the attack.”
On the morning of November 5, 2024, FBI agents found Sissel in a Travelodge motel room in Canton Township, Wayne County, Michigan. He told them he hid his gun but they did not find any weapons on him.
Sissel was arrested and charged with sending a threatening communication. He told the FBI agents that he planned to move to Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA in December 2024.
FBI’s field office in Detroit, Wayne County is investigating the case. Ann Arbor and Detroit are around 43.4 miles apart.
