
Miss Universe 2024
Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios was 23 when she was crowned Miss Universe 2023 at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador on November 18, 2023. The respective first and second runners-up were Thailand’s Anntonia Porsild, then 27, and Australia’s Moraya Wilson, then 22.
On November 16, 2024, Palacios will crown her successor at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. This is the 73rd edition of the international beauty pageant headquartered in New York, United States and Samut Prakan, Thailand.
This is the first edition of Miss Universe under the new age requirement. Candidates only have to be at least 18 years old while in the previous editions, they had to be 18-28 years old during the competition.
